 why would you fucking send him there though      like i suspect hannibal was actually expecting that something would happen to will      I MEAN I KNOW IT’S NOT NICE TO THINK ABOUT IT BUT OK      BEAR WITH ME      this guy whose name i keep forgeting      knew hannibal was also a serial killer      so if will did catch him without killing him      there was a great risk he would tell on hannibal      and even if will wouldn’t want to believe it at first WE ALL KNOW HE WOULD CHECK ANYWAY      so what the hell did actually happen?      is this a plot hole or is hannibal actually starting to play even more dangerous games with will?      ugh

earlier in the episode, the dude (Tobias) said that the FBI would send men to investigate him, and he’d kill them. He said that to Hannibal when Hannibal invited him to dinner. That was the first thing I remembered when Hannibal suggested Will go investigate Tobias.

I know that Hannibal himself admitted that he thinks he might want to be friends (or more?????) with Will, but don’t forget that Hannibal is also pretty much Satan and you can’t believe a word he says to anyone.

He might have been pleased that Will wasn’t dead, but he knew it was more than a distinct possibility when he sent Will (not Jack, or any other agents, just Will) to investigate Tobias. He was effectively sending Will into the lion’s den without as much as warning him that there might be a lion.
